Lodging

We have made arrangements for special rates at the Kellogg Center, which is also the venue of the entire conference. It is in quadrant B3 on the campus map. All attendees should make their own reservations. Their phone number for reservations is (800) 875-5090 and the general phone number is (517) 432-4000, or else make reservations on-line (instructions below). The special room rate is guaranteed only until May 1, after which time the unsold rooms will be released to the general public.

If sharing a room at the Kellogg Center, only one person should make the room reservation, but add the name of the roommate in the ‘special requests’ field. Bills can be split (with pre-payment) at check-in or at check-out.

Parking is available in the adjacent parking ramp. The Kellogg provides free shuttle service to and from the Lansing airport and the Michigan Flyer – call 800-875-5090 or email kcrooms@msu.edu.

Meals

Included in registration are a reception Sunday evening, three lunches, three continental breakfasts, and the banquet on Wednesday evening. Participants in the foray receive a sack lunch.

For other meals, there are multiple options. The Kellogg has a nice restaurant (The State Room) and there a number of restaurants in downtown East Lansing that cater mainly to students. Harrison Roadhouse is one block from Kellogg at the corner of Michigan Ave. and Harrison Road. A bit further away, in downtown East Lansing, are Beggar’s Banquet, Dublin Square, and El Azteco.

Across the street (Harrison Road) from the Kellogg Center, on the second floor of the Brody dorm complex, is Brody Square, a large “food court” including vegetarian, sushi, salad bar, home-style, cajun, grill, southwestern, italian, and desert. One price ($6 for breakfast, $10 for lunch and dinner) gives access to everything. For the day’s menus, see http://www.eatatstate.msu.edu/menus/brody. Open every day from 7:00 am to midnight.
